About ArtEx

The ArtEx candidates are dedicated talents on their way to a national and international career. ArtEx is a cross genre program that focuses on developing careers and the talents artistic integrity. The program is established by Talent Norge and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

As a participant in ArtEx, you get access to national and international workshops, individual follow-up from mentors and are offered coaching over a period of two years.

An important part of ArtEx are the work and cooperation between mentors and participants. What we learn from these experiences will be shared with the entire Talent Norge network.

• ArtEx is a program for leading talents across all arts and culture disciplines. The talents are in the transition period between education and a national and international career. ArtEx is part-time and unpaid, and is intended to be combined with work
• ArtEx will open doors and promote the participants artistic career
• ArtEx finances national and international meeting places and coaching, where all expenses are covered for the participant

The application deadline for 2021 is April 20th. The participants will be announced at the Bergen International Festival May 28th and 29th. You apply via Talent Norge application portal. Please use PC or Mac when you apply. 

Who can apply for ArtEx?

ArtEx is looking for dedicated candidates who have shown great artistic talent in their field.

• Requirements are set for participating actively in sharing of knowledge and experiences with other talent development programs within the Talent Norge portfolio.
• The candidate must be a Norwegian citizen or have a connection to Norway, for example having a permanent residence and/or work in Norway, or being enrolled in a Norwegian educational institution.
• The age limit is 35 years.

The jury

A jury selects participants based on submitted applications and interviews.

• The jury is appointed by Talent Norge and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
• The jury will both contribute too and ensure that the candidates artistic and professional development are in accordance with the purpose of the program.
• The jury also contributes with their artistic and professional network, as well as mentors.

Workshops

The meeting places and workshops in ArtEx are both for ArtEx participants and other candidates in Talent Norge initiatives. In the two year program period we will arrange four national and four international workshops.
