The Collector Series: Sabrina Ciofi
15.10.2020 / Sabrina Ciofi is an art director and communications expert based in Milan. Currently teaching the Fashion Publishing course at IED Milan, she has built an archive of fashion magazines since the 90's, that's now been donated as part of the International Library of Fashion Research permanent collection.
International Library of Fashion Research’s inaugural ‘The Collector Series’ is a questionnaire with the people and premises our library is founded upon; the collectors. With the acceleration of fast fashion and disposable mentalities, fashion printed matter has oftentimes been produced, published and presented, then trashed, thrown away or simply forgotten about. This ongoing series tells the stories of people who have guarded this material over the course of the years and grown it into incredible, personal fashion collections, altogether representing a wider perspective on the past, present and future of fashion publishing.
