We are thrilled to announce to you the planning of our next digital Dirigentforum with leaders of prestigious musical European institutions.

_Our first guest is Risto Nieminen, director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Foundation.

Mr. Nieminen is leading the Foundation in the musical field since 2009.
Mr. Nieminen also was director of the Finland Radio Symphony Orchestra between 1989 and 1991, and artistic director of IRCAM (Institut de Recherce et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), Georges Pompidou Centre, in Paris, between 1991 and 1996.
He sat on the Board of the European Association of Festivals from 1997 to 2001 and in 1998 was awarded the honour of Knight of the Arts and Letters of France.

_Our second guest Alexander Meraviglia-Crivelli, artistic director of the most prestigious youth orchestra institution in the world, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO).

Mr. Meraviglia-Crivelli works with the GMJO since 1996.
Mr. Meraviglia-Crivelli has been in a close relationship/partnership with maestros like Claudio Abbado (founder), Pierre Boulez, Philippe Jordan, Daniel Harding, Herbert Blomstedt, Bernard Haitink amongst many others.
The GMJO performs every year in the most prestigious venues and festivals in Europa and the world, and many of the members becomes principal instrumentalists of the best orchestras out there, like the Berliner & Wiener Philharmoniker, Concertgebouw, LSO, BRSO, Staatskapelle Dresden and Berlin etc.. 
The history of GMJO’s assistants is astounding: Franz Welzer-Möst, Manfred Honeck, David Afkham, Lorenzo Viotti just to name a few.
He is also founding jury member of the Herbert von Karajan Young Conductors Award at the prestigious Salzburg Festival.
